Why We Started LiveSitter
Because “We Made a Mistake” Is Not an Option.
The Wake-Up Call
LiveSitter started when we realized that even in the highest-quality childcare environments, there is always room for a more proactive layer of support. We saw a school with exceptional teachers and modern facilities - a team doing everything right - encounter the natural complexities of a busy school day.
During a standard transition, a brief gap in visibility occurred. While everyone was safe, the experience highlighted a common challenge: even the best manual systems can benefit from a digital companion to ensure no moment goes unmonitored.
The Transition Trap
Childcare is constant motion. Classroom to playground, playground to bus, bus to building. During these transitions, distractions happen. A child falls. Someone cries. A noise pulls attention away. In seconds, a gap can open without anyone noticing.
"In childcare, human error is unavoidable, but the consequences are not."
The Reality
Nearly 200,000 children visit U.S. emergency rooms each year for playground injuries, with inadequate supervision cited in many cases. Often, the difference between a near miss and a tragedy is simply how quickly the problem is detected.
We don’t build technology to monitor people. We build it to catch the moment when human attention is stretched too thin.
